You have to undergo basic training at chest level deep water and demonstrate all learned skills to develop confidence for deep sea diving. One can dive up to 12 meters deep and one divemaster will assist you till the end of your diving experience. 

Deep sea diving for certified or fun divers

A person who has done a scuba diver course or fun divers can dive up to 30-40 meters deep provided what kind of certification they have. An open water diver can go up to 18 meters deep while advanced open water divers are eligible for 30 meters. Basic scuba dive training is not necessary for people with certifications. Certified scuba divers can freely dive and explore the ocean with their buddies. 

Popular deep dive sites for beginners or advanced scuba divers

Tribe Gate: It is the most recommended dive site for beginners or certified scuba divers. The dive site has an oval-shaped big reef and consists of a maximum depth of 14 meters below the sea surface. There exists diverse and colorful marine life and multiple species of fish groups are usually witnessed there. Tribe gate is recommended even for nonswimmers to have deep dive experience in Andaman. Redpiller: The dive site is located approx 500 meters away from the Nemo reef dive site. It has a maximum depth of 12 meters and is suitable for beginners or nonswimmers. Redpiller has some awesome species of colorful live coral reefs and different species of small fish. 

Slope: The dive site is located next to Havelock lighthouse with a maximum depth of 18 meters. It is a recommended dive site for certified scuba divers as well as fun divers provided they are certified in the open water diver program. It has classic groups of coral reefs where exists diverse marine life. While diving at the slope you can also notice manta rays on the sandy patch. 

The Wall: It is one of the deepest dive sites located in Havelock, Andaman Islands. It has a maximum depth of 70 meters. Open water divers and advanced open water divers can dive there as per their certification levels. The dive site looks like a wall and goes 70 meters deep on one side of it. There exist some rare species of marine life, lobsters, and deep water creatures. 

Price for deep sea diving in Andaman

Non-certified divers (beginners or nonswimmers): A person looking for one-time scuba dive experience or has not done any certification course can dive either at Tribe gate or Redpiller. Scuba Diving in Andaman Cost is slightly cheaper as compared to other parts of the world. The package is INR 5500 per person per dive and includes 45 minutes of the training session, 45-50 minutes of underwater dive time, 2 videos, and 40 photos.  

Certified divers: A person who has completed an open water diver or advanced open water diver course is eligible for fun dives on all dive sites mentioned above. The charges for diving at Tribe gate and Redpiller are INR 2500 per person. While diving at the wall and slope cost INR 3500 per person. The total underwater dive time will be 45 minutes underwater and 500 extra are chargeable for photography and videography.
